To help our teams work together effectively, this role is fully remote, but requires you to be located in India timezone. Atlassian is looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to develop and maintain our web frontend systems and tools in order to deliver great experiences to our users.

This team leads the foundational initiative of unifying Pricing, Product Catalog, Subscriptions and Billing engines across all Atlassian Cloud products, to fuel Atlassian’s ability to scale to a $10B company.

We are creating a brand-new platform called the Commerce Cloud Platform (CCP) that will transform the Atlassian Cloud billing and payments systems. We will use this to unify the billing for all of the current Atlassian products as well as any newly invented products or acquisitions.

Where you'll make an impact

As part of the team you will be responsible for the brand-new development of the Billing Console within the overall platform constellation we call CCP.

In this role you will have autonomy to craft, build, and ensure we are building scalable and reliable experiences that delight our customers and deliver business value to Atlassian. We follow the DevOps approach so you'll be experiencing the full development and operational lifecycle of your work.

You will foster new features and improvements that will make a difference to not only your team but key company metrics such as adoption rates for our cloud products, purchase conversion rates, support ticket reduction, reduced time to market.

We work closely with the teams in India, Australia, US and other partners that span all the Atlassian offices, world-wide.

What you'll do

Experience with building large single page applications.
Lead projects, from technical design, implementation through to launch.
Significant hands on experience working with React state management libraries such as XState or Redux.
A champion for technical and operational excellence, your dreams are made of high scale and lightning fast performance.
Passionate about the tension between building scalable, reusable APIs that all Atlassian teams can use to build products and delivering fabulous, rich end-user experiences.
Enjoy mentoring developers (via tech design reviews sparring, code reviews etc) and ability to optimally collaborate on ideas and designs with the wider team.
Motivated by fast paced projects and adept at problem solving through ambiguity.

Your background

7+ years experience with Javascript (ES6), HTML5, CSS and experience with modern Javascript frameworks (e.g., React, AngularJS, Vue), TypeScript.
Bachelor's or Master's degree with a preference for Computer Science degree.
Understanding of the modern frontend ecosystem, including but not limited to bundling, linting, testing and releasing.
Experience with modern testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress, Mocha, Chai).
Familiarity of the JavaScript language and ecosystem.
Experience building frontend applications at scale.
Experience in Agile software development methodologies.
You strive to write code that lasts for years, not months.
Experience engineering software systems of medium-to-large scope and complexity.
Experience mentoring other engineers

Great to have these, but not mandatory

eCommerce / Billing / Payments experience.
Experience with GraphQL.
Nodejs experience.
Bash / Shell script experience.
Knowledge of open-source libraries and frameworks (for example, logging, wiring, testing, and building tools)
