[Looking for a Partner] A Frontend Engineer Who Wants More Than Just Making Pages — Let’s Build with Next.js and React Native

Posted: 1 day ago

We’re a team that believes products should be cool and tech should be cutting-edge, and we’re looking for a frontend lead to join us.

👋 Who we are (Avinasi Labs)

Avinasi Labs is a startup focused on longevity research, founded by a team with backgrounds from MIT and Harvard. We’re building in two directions:

  1. AI Agents for scientific and practical applications.

  2. A privacy-preserving computation protocol for biomedical data.

Our principle is simple: work with trusted partners, keep data secure, make results verifiable, and build products that people love to use.

🧬 What we’re building (Delong)

Our core open-source project Delong is a privacy-preserving computation platform for longevity and biomedical research. It combines blockchain governance with Trusted Execution Environments (TEE) so researchers can analyze sensitive biomedical data without exposing the raw data. Every critical operation is recorded on-chain, and algorithms are approved by decentralized governance.

If you’re curious about data privacy, verifiability, and scientific trust, you’ll have a lot of fun here.

🚀 What you’ll be doing (the highlights):

  • Web & Mobile, both worlds: Build Web apps with Next.js (SSR/SSG wizardry) and Mobile apps with React Native. Don’t worry—we’re not asking you to build a rocket alone, but we do want you to be a big part of it.

  • Beyond “just making it work”: We care about performance, SEO, and user experience. Lighthouse scores, Web Vitals, smooth animations—these excite us.

  • Engineering efficiency maniac: We love the best tools (Vite, AI copilots). If you’d rather automate repetitive tasks than do them manually, we’ll get along great.

✨ What we expect from you (the must-haves):

  • Next.js fluency: You’ve worked with App Router, SSR/SSG in real projects.

  • React Native exposure: You can code, debug, and interact with native modules (experience is great, but strong interest is fine too).

  • Pixel-perfect eye and good “feel”: You care about design fidelity and interaction details.

  • AI is your copilot: You use Cursor/GPT to code and debug, and you think that’s awesome.

😊 Nice-to-haves (not required, but cool):

  • You see TypeScript as a must, not an option.

  • You enjoy the speed of TailwindCSS or the completeness of Ant Design.

  • You’ve experimented with Flutter, uni-app, or other cross-platform toys.

🙅‍♂️ Maybe not for you if…

  • You only want to build static pages and avoid SSR or mobile.

  • You think “as long as it works, performance can wait.”

  • You believe AI coding is “cheating.”

  • You have no PPPPPP~PASSION!!!!

👉 How to apply?

Please don’t send us a cookie-cutter resume (but yes, still send a resume 😅). Instead, tell us:

  1. Your GitHub profile (any code we can look at, doesn’t have to be famous).

  2. The project you’re most proud of (or the hardest bug you’ve ever solved) and your role in it.

  3. Your resume.

Send to: dylan@avinasi.org (subject line: Frontend Partner - [Your Name])

P.S. We read every email carefully, and the tech lead will reply directly. Looking forward to chatting with someone interesting—you!
