We’re hiring a senior full stack software developer to build out scalable, secure, reusable features to power our application. Your work will underpin our entire application, powering not only our user application but also providing an integration point for other teams. You’ll be working on our app, setting standards and designing services to scale for the future.

Our ideal fit:

Experience designing new product features from initial requirement gathering with product managers through to deployment and monitoring.
Excellent at visually communicating ideas through diagrams, wikis and other written mediums as well as verbally in meetings.
Passionate about developer experience through great documentation, tests and observability.
Has a growth mindset, excited to learn new libraries / technologies, but is thoughtful about tradeoffs between different tools and whether they are solving the right problems for our team and for our users.
Incredibly collaborative, interested in working cross-team and can explain complex solutions/problems clearly and succinctly.
Confident prioritizing technical needs against business needs.

What you'll be doing:

Work closely with product management to design and implement features on our roadmap, including updating and improving existing functionality.
Mentor junior developers on the team through pairing sessions, code reviews, lunch and learns etc.
Responsible for owning projects end to end and providing regular updates to stakeholders to highlight progress and identify risks.
Review our existing services and identify areas for improvement and schedule these to align with the roadmap.
Help to shape the team’s processes to scale as the team grows.
Research third party services as potential solutions and make recommendations based on research.

What you bring to the table:

Minimum 5 years experience as full stack software developer
Prior experience as a senior software developer working in an Agile environment
Experience with ReactJS or other similar JS frontend frameworks
Experience with NodeJS and ExpressJS or other similar Node based API frameworks
Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB a plus
Experience with cloud infrastructure (eg. AWS)
