Position Overview
BMC is looking for a Senior Frontend React Engineer to join the growing Project Beacon team.
This is a hands-on product engineering role focused on designing and building scalable, enterprise-grade user interfaces for a 01 data and agentic platform. You will help define the frontend architecture, build complex data-driven experiences, and ship production-ready features used by Fortune-scale customers.
You will work closely with architects, backend engineers, DevOps, product, and design teams to build a modern, high-performance frontend platform from scratch.

• Frontend Product Engineering (Primary Focus)
Design, build, and iterate on core UI components and workflows across the Beacon platform, owning features end-to-end from concept through production.
• Hands-on Development
Spend the majority of your time writing high-quality, maintainable, production-ready code using modern React (latest versions), TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS.
• UI Architecture & Design Systems
Define scalable frontend architecture patterns including:
•
State management strategies
•
Component library design
•
API abstraction layers
•
Micro-frontend readiness
•
Progressive Web Application (PWA) principles
• Enterprise Data Experience
Build highly interactive and data-intensive interfaces such as:
•
Lineage visualization graphs
•
Observability dashboards
•
Metadata explorers
•
Governance workflows
•
Orchestration monitoring panels
• Performance & Scalability
Ensure optimal frontend performance under enterprise-scale data loads through rendering optimization, lazy loading, caching, and efficient API handling.
• DevOps & CI/CD
Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes. Work with Git-based workflows and tools such as Jenkins and GitHub.
• Collaboration & Ownership
Work in small, collaborative, fast-moving teams across India and California. Demonstrate high ownership, flexibility, and strong follow-through in a fluid environment.

Requirements – To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience
•
8–12+ years of experience in enterprise software product development.
•
6+ years of Web UI development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
•
3+ years of experience in React (latest versions).
•
Deep knowledge of JavaScript and modern frontend architecture.
•
Strong experience building scalable, enterprise-grade web applications.
•
Experience working in small collaborative teams.
•
Strong understanding of web performance, security, and responsive design.
•
Experience integrating REST/GraphQL APIs.
•
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
•
Familiarity with DevOps practices and modern cloud-native environments.
Nice to Have
•
Experience with Angular.
•
Experience building SaaS applications.
•
1+ years of Postgres and/or ElasticSearch exposure.
•
2+ years of experience with RDBMS.
•
Object-oriented modeling and design experience.
•
Ability to communicate design specifications using block diagrams or UML.
•
Experience with micro-frontend architectures.
•
Exposure to data platforms, metadata systems, or observability tools.
•
Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Dagster, Prefect).
•
Interest or exposure to AI/ML and agentic systems.
