Cloud Security Engineering at Cisco drives the technology that's transforming the way customers secure their networks, and more importantly, their users.

We are currently seeking an Frontend Developer to join our dynamic software engineering team.

The successful candidate should have experience in frontend technologies, some understanding of backend development, and the ability to develop user-friendly web applications.

As a key member of the Network eXperience organization, you will be part of a team responsible for the design, development, and operation of key microservices focused on cloud network experience, traffic optimization and insights related that our Umbrella and Cisco Secure Access products offer.

This is a small team that does big things.

What You'll Do * Develop user-facing features for web applications using various web technologies.

* Work with the team to design and implement attractive and functional web applications.

* Contribute to backend development tasks as needed, including interfacing with APIs and working with cloud-based databases.

* Utilize AWS services for application deployment and management.

* Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and user experience.

* Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the overall application design and feature set.

* Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

* At least 2 years of experience in web development or a related field.

* Strong understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.

* Experience with client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks.

* Knowledge of responsive and adaptive design principles.

* Basic understanding of backend development, including working with APIs and databases.

* Familiarity with AWS services.

Desired skills/characteristics: * Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.

* Familiarity with backend development languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.

* Experience with AWS services such as S3, EC2, or Lambda.

* Experience with tools such as Gulp, Webpack, or Babel.

* Understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that applications adhere to them.

* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in teams.

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

* Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.

* * Experience with DBT, Snowflake, and AWS.

* Familiarity with data pipeline and workflow management tools.

* Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing strategies Who You'll Work With The members of the Cloud Security Engineering Network eXperience team build and operate core control plane services for the Umbrella and Cisco Secure Access platform.

We work closely with the rest of the Cloud Security Engineering teams and other engineering groups across Cisco.

You will engage in some of the following: * Collaborate with a team of web developers, designers, and other software engineers to develop and improve the user interface of our applications.

* Work with cross-functional teams to ensure our applications meet their needs and deliver a consistent, high-quality user experience.
