How you’ll make an impact:

CI&T is expanding the team in Portugal and is looking for an experienced Senior React Engineer to help build a new product for a large UK client.

As this team is going to be responsible for bringing to market a new proposition and business, we are looking for someone with high ownership and accountability, a team player, and positively collaborative and communicative. Someone who feels comfortable challenging the status quo and takes an active role in driving the product forward with a delivery mindset and thrives when empowered with autonomy

What will you be doing?

You are going to be responsible for:

- Design and implement software solutions, working closely with teams in the United Kingdom, Portugal and Brazil.

- Helping code a digital and innovative solution for an important British client in the telecom field.

- Assisting in the technical application definitions of the client-side architecture, participating in inception, planning and design meetings in order to direct the development in a scalable and sustainable way. This includes real business challenges with the client and the team, exchange of experiences and knowledge with the project's peers, and knowing and learning about product conception and design.

- Work with React, Redux, Material UI, SCSS, and JS. You will have to be comfortable working in hybrid and distributed teams, especially in an environment with high exposure to the client.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

- 5+ years of experience in JavaScript and ES6

- 5+ years of experience in building web applications with React and Redux

- 5+ years of working with HTML and S/CSS to create visually compelling, mobile-responsive user interfaces

- Experience in web UI toolchain configuration and management e.g. Webpack

- Strong knowledge and experience in applying best practices and design patterns in React

- Strong experience with system integration via RESTful APIs

- Strong React unit testing ability and working within a CI/CD context

- Strong understanding of Secure By Design principles and web security in practice

- Experience with Docker, git source control

- Experience working with backend engineers on API design and usage

- Strong experience working in agile teams exhibiting best practices

- Good communication skills, since you will work on a very dynamic project and interact with both colleagues and clients

Nice to have

- Computer Science or Engineering-based degree

- Experience working with AWS services

Workplace/Travel Opportunities:

Currently able to work from home anywhere in Portugal, with occasional visits to our Lisbon office.
