Cognizant is looking for a “Sr. Java Developer “for developing customized product for our clients. The role is expected to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/best practices to enhance our current services and technologies.

Education Details: BS or Equivalent

Must Have: MS TypeScript, Node.js, React, Java and Spring Boot Framework

Job Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire

Roles & Responsibilities:

Design and develop application using React, Spring boot and Java

Create necessary design documents as required by client.

Peer review and code deployment and validation

Prepare accurate design and architecture reports for management and executive teams.

Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.

Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting and integrating new features.

Recommend solutions to improve new and existing application solutions.

Offer support by responding to system problems in a timely manner.

Understand and document data flows in and between different systems/applications

Guidance to developers in preparing functional/technical specs to define reporting requirement .

Experience in hands-on development in MS TypeScript, Node.js, React, Java and Spring Boot Framework

Expert knowledge of design and development of web applications using NoSQL Database (DynamoDB), Core Java (Collections, Multi-threading), Mybatis, Spring Boot, JUnit, Groovy

Hands-on experience in application development knowledge on cloud platform AWS cloud technology (Lambda, Serverless and Event Driven Architecture, SQS, SNS, deployment model).

Hands-on experience using REST APIs in micro-services architecture.

Hands-on experience in Docker for building micro-services-based applications.

Experience with CI/CD technologies with Jenkins & Bamboo

Should be able to work in Agile, Scrum, pair programming mode & TDD mode.

Good knowledge of Relational database systems, Strong understanding of GitHub.
