Shape the Industry and Your Career

At Cytora, now an Applied Systems company, we’re transforming how insurers and brokers connect, operate, and grow. Our AI-powered platform is driving smarter decisions, greater efficiency, and seamless collaboration across the global insurance ecosystem. As we accelerate digital transformation, we’re looking for curious, collaborative minds ready to help shape what’s next. If you’re energized by innovation and inspired by impact, your future starts here.

Position Overview
As a Senior Front End Engineer at Cytora, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product. You will be working closely with UX designers, frontend and backend engineers, and product managers to help build our main product offering in Insurtech. Your responsibilities will extend to managing stakeholders, like CX/BA, taking initiative where necessary, influencing product roadmaps and direction, and collaborating with our UX designer function to establish best practices.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate within a growing team to develop and maintain full-stack Typescript production-grade web applications.

  • Utilize your expertise in JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as React and Redux to deliver features on time and of high quality.

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of agile fundamentals, contributing to an efficient and collaborative development process.

  • Work with backend engineers, consulting on the contract design amongst other things, to ensure the API’s are fit for purpose.

  • Having an eye for detail and empathy for the end-user, putting yourself in their shoes, and working with UX to deliver impactful user experiences.

What you bring:

  • Significant experience building and maintaining full-stack JavaScript production-grade web applications.

  • Hands-on commercial experience with JavaScript frameworks and libraries.

  • Understanding of the functional programming paradigm and its real-world usage, as well as other patterns, e.g., the “singleton pattern”, where appropriate.

  • A team player who can work with various people across the business, as well as being comfortable with autonomy.

  • An understanding that success is not a lone wolf activity, the whole team succeeds together, so team cohesion and maintaining a good culture, which will also be your responsibility, is just as important as your technical proficiency.

  • Experience working with APIs and services and 3rd party providers / SDKs.

  • Able to operate with limited information, the ability to identify where there are gaps and close them, with a focus on delivery, as well as ensuring any risks are properly communicated

Nice to have:

  • Experience in UX/UI design to enhance user interactions and experiences.

  • Start-up experience: Proven ability to rapidly build and deliver working products.
