Lead React Native Engineer

As a Senior React Native Engineer with a focus on mobile and web development in the fintech and banking sector, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge applications that deliver seamless user experiences across multiple platforms. Leveraging your expertise in React Native and web technologies, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build innovative solutions that drive customer engagement, efficiency, and growth in the financial services industry. 

• Lead the development of both the React Native mobile app and React-based admin portal. 
• Oversee the full development lifecycle for new features in the mobile and web applications, from conceptualisation to deployment and maintenance. 
• Collaborate closely with backend developers to ensure APIs are optimised for mobile and web consumption. 
• Actively engage with cross-functional teams, including product management and design, to deliver user-centric solutions. 
• Uphold coding standards and best practices and contribute to maintaining high-quality code through regular code reviews. 
• Stay abreast of new trends and technologies in mobile and web development,continually refining skills and practices. 
• Contribute to the Agile development process, actively participating in planning,stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews. 

• At least 5 years of experience in React Native for mobile app development, with a proven track record of delivering apps to both Apple and Android platforms. 
• Strong expertise in building and deploying Single Page Applications (SPAs) using React. 
• Proficiency in Redux for state management in complex front-end architectures. 
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and architecture, capable of contributing to back-end development when necessary. 
• Excellent command of Git for version control, adept in branching, merging, and handling pull requests. 
• Familiar with Agile development methodologies, particularly Scrum or Kanban. 
• Strong communication skills, capable of working effectively in a remote team across different time zones. 
• Independent, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 
• Availability to collaborate during Melbourne business hours. 

• Experience in the Fintech sector, especially understanding regulatory and compliance aspects. 
• Previous work with AWS platform in a Fintech context.
