Who We Are

At CMiT, we do more than provide real-world solutions. We deliver transformative results. Through cutting-edge technology and process innovations, we are changing how federal and commercial clients worldwide deliver their mission. A service-disabled veteran-owned small business, we take pride in serving our nation through exemplary support for our clients and employees alike.

Full Stack React/Node.js Developer

TSA is in the process of modernizing its legacy, on-premises MSNS applications into AWS GovCloud using a serverless technology stack. We're looking for a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to develop, design, optimize, and manage our AWS Serverless Applications.

Leveraging strong expertise in React (with Typescript), NodeJS (with Typescript), and AWS Serverless architecture, you'll collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, write and test code, manage integrations, and proactively address risks.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys working in Agile teams, and excels at working remotely. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, takes initiative in undefined spaces, and works with a collaborative, high-performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers and partners to understand their business needs and the scenarios they aim to address.

  • Lead or actively participate in meetings to gather and refine requirements, leveraging business, technical, and industry knowledge to define constraints and objectives.

  • Engage relevant stakeholders to ensure comprehensive understanding of customer goals.

  • Support project planning by identifying risks and dependencies, and contributing to key documentation.

  • Clearly communicate the business value of proposed solutions, with guidance as needed, and implement strategies to mitigate technical and business risks.

  • Manage personal workload effectively and maintain regular communication with project leaders.

  • Proactively identify and address issues or risks, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, to ensure timely resolution.

  • Write and maintain integration and unit tests to ensure feature reliability and performance.

  • Apply product expertise to collaborate with stakeholders, driving project and release planning within the team.

  • Take ownership of writing, testing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable code.

  • Resolve complex system integration challenges, often working across team boundaries to deliver cohesive solutions.

Education/Certification Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field. Experience or education requirements may be met through an equivalent number of combined years of education or experience.

Qualifications Required

  • 7+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python (or 9 years of experience in lieu of degree).

  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in AWS services, including AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Aurora, S3, and others.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Team-oriented and willing to follow directions, as well as take initiative.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with popular React.js workflows.

  • Strong understanding of Node.js and its frameworks.

  • Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or similar.

  • Experience in writing SQL and working with relational database structures, PostgreSQL (highly preferred).

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, or similar.

Clearance Required

  • Ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust.

  • Active or ability to obtain a TSA Clearance.
