About the role

The UX Design Engineer is the technical backbone for global content tooling, working between design and engineering to build platforms, internal tools, and ML/LLM-driven workflows that help teams generate, localize, test, and deploy product content at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and build internal tools for product managers and designers to generate, manage, localize, and deploy content.
• Integrate custom GPTs and other LLMs into everyday content workflows.
• Own full-stack development, including React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frontend experiences plus backend services and APIs in technologies such as Kotlin and Java.
• Integrate tooling with A/B testing, feature flags, experimentation infrastructure, and automated winner-deployment pipelines.
• Write maintainable production code, participate in reviews, and improve performance and reliability across the stack.
• Partner with content design, product design, product management, AI infrastructure, design systems, and localization teams across multiple brands.
• Define and track adoption, quality, shipping speed, and designer-time-saved metrics.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years building complex internal tools or platforms as a design engineer, UX engineer, or senior software engineer.
• Strong React and TypeScript/JavaScript frontend skills plus solid backend experience.
• Experience with internal services, experimentation platforms, infrastructure systems, and multi-product environments.
• Strong debugging, systems thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and comfort with ambiguity.
• AI/LLM integrations, evaluation pipelines, and internal platforms for non-engineers are helpful.

Compensation

US base salary bands range from $124,400 to $260,000 depending on level and location, with equity and benefits.
