About the role

As a Mobile Developer Engineer (React Native), you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality mobile applications that align with business goals and deliver consistent, user-focused experiences.

Work closely with other teams from the early stages of design all the way through identifying and resolving production issues.
Support a variety of products with a strong focus on automation, performance, availability, and overall reliability.
Collaborate closely with engineers and business intelligence teams throughout the sprint cycle—before, during, and after—to ensure seamless delivery and continuous improvement.
Build an industry leading platform which is relentlessly focused on innovation.
Develop elegant solutions for complex problems.
Write architecturally sound and maintainable code following dubizzle’s programming practices.
Work in a mentoring capacity within a peer-programming environment and provide guidance on tasks, irrespective of complexity or scale.
Handle the entire software development life cycle, end to end.
Unit-test code for robustness, include edge cases, usability and reliability.
Working with our testing team to ensure 100% test coverage.
Discovering and implementing the newest technologies.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering preferred.
A diverse portfolio of previously built Mobile Apps.
Have published at least one or more Mobile Apps to the market.
3+ years experience in React Native development.
Experience dealing with Play Store and App Store rejection scenarios, including debugging, responding to rejections, and implementing necessary fixes to comply with store guidelines.
Familiarity with publishing apps using EAS to Google Play Store and Apple App Store, including configuration, build artifacts, and submission processes.
Firm grasp of the JavaScript language and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax.
Understanding of web technologies and UI/UX standards for mobile platforms.
Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle, Android Studio & Intellij.
Experienced with third party libraries and APIs.
Proven ability to design clean, modern, and user-friendly mobile interfaces.
A solid understanding of RESTful applications.
A solid understanding of the different caching techniques you can apply when developing a mobile app.
Understanding of Agile methodologies and SCRUM.
A good Understanding of MVC, MVP & MVVM patterns.
Familiarity with mobile databases like SQLite, Realm, or Firebase.
Hands-on experience with Expo CLI and EAS CLI for building, developing, and managing Expo apps efficiently.
Prior experience with native iOS or native Android development would be a plus.
Solid understanding of EAS Build, EAS Submit, and EAS Update workflows for streamlined deployment and over-the-air updates.
Proficiency in managing app signing credentials, secrets, and SHA keys for both Android and iOS within the Expo ecosystem (e.g., for Firebase, Google Maps, etc.).
