You will act as a hands-on technical lead, guiding a team of engineers and contributing to engineering standards and practices within your area of ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design of high-performance frontend solutions with low latency, SSE/WebSocket streaming, and AI interaction patterns
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, promoting technical quality and alignment on shared component libraries and AI design standards
  • Support the design and evolution of frontend interfaces and SDKs that bring AI agent capabilities to employees and customers
  • Help define architectural approaches for Agentic Experiences (AX) on web and mobile, including real-time response streaming and low-latency interactions
  • Promote frontend observability, accessibility (WCAG/a11y), and operational excellence within your team and across user-facing AI services
  • Contribute to the development of reusable full-stack integration frameworks, component hooks, and platform capabilities that help enterprise teams embed GenAI tools
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers to develop interaction patterns for AI copilots and virtual agents
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to your delivery team, supporting day-to-day execution and quality

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in JavaScript, React, TypeScript, and modern frontend state management libraries
  • 1+ years of relevant leadership or team lead experience, including mentoring engineers and coordinating technical initiatives
  • Solid software development background across web applications, client-side SDKs, APIs, and microservices
  • Hands-on experience building GenAI user experiences, conversational UX, or real-time response streaming interfaces (SSE/WebSockets)
  • Strong knowledge of building chat assistants and prompt UI patterns
  • Proficiency in Python backend development and integrating cloud-native REST APIs on AWS/Docker
  • Experience contributing to UI component libraries, design systems, or developer SDKs used across teams
  • Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2+) with strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with client-side or Node.js orchestration frameworks (LangChain for JavaScript, LlamaIndex, Model Context Protocol)
  • Understanding of RAG retrieval, vector databases, and citation rendering
  • Knowledge of React Native or web-to-mobile wrapper experience for AI workflows
  • Experience with WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, a11y standards, and accessible UI component development
  • Competency in GraphQL and AI evaluation tooling (LangSmith, Langfuse, or user feedback loop UI components)

Benefits

  • International projects with top brands
  • Work with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peers
  • Healthcare benefits
  • Employee financial programs
  • Paid time off and sick leave
  • Upskilling, reskilling and certification courses
  • Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000+ courses
  • Global career opportunities
  • Volunteer and community involvement opportunities
  • EPAM Employee Groups
  • Award-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn
