HubFit is the all-in-one platform for personal trainers, online coaches, and gyms to manage clients, automate their business, and scale without the chaos. We have a 4.9 App Store rating and 2,500+ five-star reviews. We ship fast and we're growing faster.

About the Role

You'll work as a Senior React Native Engineer on our core app, shipping features and improving performance day to day. Alongside that, you'll own our white-label infrastructure end to end, from build automation to app store operations.

We white-label our core app so coaches and gyms can offer it to their clients under their own brand, all built and maintained from a single codebase. We're scaling that to support 1,000+ branded apps, and we need someone who can write great React Native code and also architect the systems that let one codebase safely power a thousand different branded apps live in the App Store and Play Store. It's one of the more unusual and technically interesting problems in mobile engineering right now, and you'd be one of the few people building it.

What You'll Do

  • Core Product Development: Build polished React Native features with a focus on fast UI responsiveness, complex gesture handling, and smooth data integrations.

  • Offline Architecture: Design robust offline capabilities and local storage strategies so users can track workouts reliably in low-connectivity gym environments.

  • Native Bridges: Write custom native modules and configuration plugins when you need to hook into platform-specific iOS and Android APIs.

  • Media & Performance Optimization: Handle heavy video streaming, image caching, and rendering optimizations to keep the app lightweight and eliminate memory leaks.

  • White-Label Automation: Optimize our multi-tenant codebase and automated pipelines to build and distribute thousands of unique apps seamlessly.

  • Internal Tooling: Expand our internal dashboards and automated scripts that monitor app health, validate coach assets, and trigger over-the-air updates.

  • App Store Operations: Guide coaches through developer account setups while managing store compliance, certificates, and rejection troubleshooting.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience: 5+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years building and shipping production React Native (Expo or bare) applications.

  • Ownership mentality: A track record of owning a system or feature area end to end, from design through production, with minimal oversight.

  • Data & Architecture: Strong grasp of complex async data flows, API integrations, and local-first or offline data persistence at scale.

  • Automation instincts: Comfort writing scripts and tooling to manage CI/CD pipelines. You don't need prior experience managing certificates or credentials at scale specifically, we'll teach you our setup, we're looking for the underlying engineering instinct.

  • App Store fluency: Solid working knowledge of Apple and Google's review guidelines and submission process, with genuine interest in going deeper into compliance and automation at scale.

  • Communication: Clear, direct communication, including with non-technical coaches and gym owners walking through app store setup.

Bonus Points

  • Experience managing large fleets of white-labeled apps from a single codebase.

  • Deep knowledge of Firebase multi-tenant configurations.

  • Familiarity with high-performance storage and UI tools like MMKV, WatermelonDB, FlashList, or Reanimated.

  • Experience with testing and E2E frameworks like Jest, Detox, or Maestro.

  • Experience with diagnostics, profiling, and observability tools like Sentry, LogRocket, Flipper, or native Xcode and Android Studio profilers.

  • Knowledge of monorepo tooling like Turborepo or Nx to keep platform scripts and app code isolated.

  • A personal passion for fitness and health optimization
