UI React - Senior Engineer
Job Description
Role Summary
The ideal candidate is not just a UI engineer, but a product-minded problem solver who can actively contribute to architecture, suggest improvements, challenge assumptions, and independently own epics from design through deployment.
This role requires strong collaboration with backend, mobile, product, and platform teams. Candidates should be comfortable leveraging AI tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, and increase engineering productivity.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable front-end applications using React
  • Own complex features and epics from requirement clarification to production release
  • Convert product requirements into intuitive and high-performance user experiences
  • Build reusable and maintainable component libraries
  • Collaborate closely with backend teams for API contract design
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and standups
  • Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and architectural improvements
  • Improve application performance, observability, and maintainability
  • Use AI engineering tools for coding acceleration, debugging, testing, and documentation
Required Technical Skills
  • 5-8 yrs Strong expertise in React.js
  • Advanced JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Deep understanding of component architecture and state management
  • Experience with Redux / Context API / Zustand
  • Strong HTML5, CSS3, responsive design knowledge
  • REST API integration experience
  • Experience with GraphQL preferred
  • Unit testing and component testing (Jest, React Testing Library)
  • Git and CI/CD workflow familiarity
  • Using observability tools like Splunk
Required Engineering Competencies
  • Strong Agile delivery experience
  • Ability to independently own epics
  • Proactive communication and stakeholder management
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to provide technical recommendations rather than simply executing tasks
  • Comfortable working in distributed offshore teams
AI Expectations
Candidate must demonstrate practical use of AI-assisted engineering tools such as:
  • Code generation and scaffolding
  • Test automation
  • Refactoring assistance
  • Debugging acceleration
  • Documentation generation
Examples include GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, etc.
