About the role

We’re looking for our first Frontend Tech Lead to shape our React and UI architecture as one of the company’s first engineers.

You’ll lead end-to-end frontend initiatives, set technical standards, and stay hands-on in the code.

The role is frontend-focused with occasional backend ownership; in a modern, event-driven platform supporting ML/LLM workloads.

What You’ll Do

• Own complex frontend architecture and delivery, while designing and building backend components (APIs, data shaping, performance-critical logic) required to support frontend complexity.

• Be among our first 10 engineers, helping shape both the product and the team foundations of a fast-growing startup.

• Define and evolve our web architecture, design system, and engineering best practices.

• Own features end-to-end: from initial concept and UX discussion to implementation, polish, deployment and observability.

• Tackle complex large-scale challenges in event-driven architectures and real-time data processing.

• Continuously improve developer workflows: evaluate gaps, introduce and integrate new tools, automate repetitive steps, and champion best practices that boost velocity and quality.

• Collaborate with top-tier engineers, PMs and designers who’ve built large-scale systems at top companies.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of experience as a tech lead in a Saas company - demonstrated ability to lead the technical direction of a small frontend team, including setting standards and best practices.

• 5+ years of experience as a web engineer with a strong focus on building complex, user-facing frontend applications using React.

• Proven experience designing and evolving scalable frontend architectures, with a solid understanding of how frontend and backend systems interact.

• Ability to develop end-to-end features and knowledge of backend technologies.

• Strong ownership mindset, with the ability to take a product idea or workflow from concept to a polished, production-ready experience.

• Experience mentoring other engineers through hands-on guidance, code reviews, and technical leadership.

• Confidence in refactoring and removing code to improve maintainability, performance, and long-term scalability.

• Comfortable running code reviews, defining engineering standards, and collaborating closely with product, design, and infrastructure teams.
