As an Engineering Lead, you'll have the chance to lead a team while also contributing to design, development, testing, and maintenance of code, directly shaping the future of our digital platform.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Establish and maintain full-stack engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with designers and product managers to iterate on product design and implementation.
  • Lead a small team of engineers, guiding agile software delivery.
  • Monitor performance, identifying and addressing usability issues.
  • Review app and feature code, and strategize future work with the engineering team.
  • Assist in all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and utilize modern libraries and tools.
  • Possess strong analytical problem-solving skills and communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
  • Demonstrate initiative, deliver quality results, and thrive under pressure.
  • Approach tasks with a business mindset, mindful of time, costs, and deadlines.
  • Work effectively within a team environment.

ABOUT YOU

  • 5+ years of experience developing large-scale web applications using GO and JavaScript.
  • Proficiency in modern libraries and tools.
  • Strong skills in GO, JavaScript, and data structures.
  • Experience with Microservices architecture and development.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL Databases (e.g., DynamoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch).
  • Experience with Messaging architectures and development (e.g., SQS, EventBridge, Kafka).
  • Proficiency in numerous AWS Services.
  • Experience building GraphQL and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with Docker or similar technologies, GIT, CI/CD, and writing unit/integration tests.

Bonus Points:

    • Experience with Cloud Platforms like Google Cloud.
    • Proficiency in JavaScript, Node, and the React ecosystem.
    • Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Deployment.
    • Experience architecting and building high-volume, fault-tolerant, globally distributed systems in a cloud-native environment.
    • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
    • Knowledge of A/B testing, monitoring, and alerting.
    • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, with strong interpersonal skills.
    • Passion for staying abreast of the latest cloud trends and technologies.
