πŸ‘‹ Hi, we are Lumos! Let us introduce ourselves...

Have you ever sent an IT ticket to Apple, asking to download, say, Netflix? No, because the Apple App Store gives you the power to download apps yourself. Now, imagine Apple would auto-unsubscribe your account when you stop using Netflix to save you money. Or, they would ask you to deactivate location-sharing if Netflix continuously used it in the background for no good reason, protecting your privacy. πŸ€”

πŸͺ„ That’s what Lumos does for enterprises. Lumos is the first AppsStore for Companies. You go to the Lumos AppStore, request an app, say GitHub, pick the repositories you need, your manager approves the request through Slack, and Lumos creates access to GitHub β€” instantly. Plus, IT and Security love it as well. They can configure Lumos to grant access to, say AWS Admin rights, for only a limited time or remove access when you stop using the app or change your role inside the company.

On our path to create the Enterprise AppStore, we have reached an inflection point: Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) backed us, our team has grown to 45+ people, we have recently launch out of stealth, and are exponentially growing our customer base. πŸš€

As a fullstack engineer, you'll build, ship, and own critical product features. You will work across the stack, focusing on areas you are most excited about and that bring value to customers. Beyond your technical work, you will gain leadership opportunities early on as we grow our engineering team. You'll be involved in scaling the product, the team, and the entire company. πŸš€

✨ Your Responsibilities
  • Work on engineering challenges across the stack to develop customer-facing functionality; across the frontend (React, Typescript), communication layer (GraphQL, Apollo), and backend (Python, Flask, sqlalchemy).
  • Ship exciting new product features and drive end-to-end development as you collaborate closely with product and design. Iterate on product requirements and user stories, see your feature through to launch, and improve it based on user feedback.
  • Solve challenging engineering and product problems, as we scale our platform to 10x the number of users and build out completely new, exciting product areas.
  • Scale the engineering team! Drive continual improvement in the quality of our codebase and product. Interview candidates and help with engineering recruiting as we rapidly grow. Define new engineering processes to accelerate our growth, improve team organization, and support your teammates. πŸ™Œ

πŸ’°Pay Range
  • $185,000 - $225,000. Note that this range is a good faith estimate of likely pay for this role; upon hire, the pay may differ due to skill and/or level of experience.

πŸ™Œ What We Value

We care much more about your motivation and excitement to grow into the role than we care just about your CV. Instead of focusing on what people need to have, we focus on what people need to do. Additionally, we try to find out whether you would be a good fit for Lumos based on our values that define how we achieve outcomes and what characteristics we value.

We strongly encourage individuals from underrepresented groups to apply. 🀲
