Responsibilities

Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of both front-end and back-end components of our cloud-based fintech application.
Ensure code quality, reusability, and scalability through best practices and efficient design patterns, unit, and integration testing.
Extend our MongoDB and MySQL database architectures, optimizing performance and reliability to support our application's growing data needs and user base.
Develop and implement robust cloud solutions and infrastructure to support the application's growth and evolving needs.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate architectural standards and practices into the development lifecycle.
Support and grow our adoption of DevOps practices, automating deployment, scaling, and management processes to improve reliability and speed.
Monitor the system to identify areas for improvement, recommending technologies and practices to enhance our cloud architecture.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for data security and privacy.
Mentor and guide team members in cloud solutions and architectural best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Extensive experience in system architecture, particularly within fintech or high-security environments.
Deep knowledge of cloud computing and infrastructure, specifically on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with certifications being a plus.
Proficiency in DevOps methodologies, tools (such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins), and CI/CD pipelines.
Proven experience in scaling and optimizing database systems, specifically MongoDB and MySQL, ensuring high availability and performance.
Demonstrated ability to lead architectural strategy and design, with a portfolio of successful projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of implementing scalable and secure solutions.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of motivating and guiding teams towards achieving strategic objectives.
