MDMS is recruiting for a Frontend Software Engineer (React) for a FinTech startup in NYC. You will help to build out the organization’s core product offering and will contribute to crucial projects across the organization. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions. And you will work with Product and Engineering teams to manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

Requirements

5+ years of Software Engineering experience (including 2+ years of React experience).
Experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
4 years of JavaScript experience.
2 years of Typescript experience.
Experience with testing frameworks jest, testing-library or equivalent.
Experience with different programming styles, particularly functional.
2 years of experience with WebAssembly preferred.
Experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, and/or debugging preferred.
Experience developing accessible technologies preferred.
Experience with Canvas API preferred.
Bachelors in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience).

Responsibilities

Write product or system development code.
Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Participate in, or lead architecture or system design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
