THE TEAM

Your role in the Enterprise Security and Compliance team is to help deliver features that are critical for our enterprise customers to ensure the security of their data and intellectual property. The team also provides features to make sure our customers’ data meet the regulatory requirements of their company and local government.These include: Data Loss Prevention features (IP allowlisting, file upload/download restriction), BYOK (Bring Your Own Key), and eDiscovery. Over the coming months you will play a central role in delivering these strategic projects.

YOUR MISSION

As a software tooling engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring an efficient and effective software development life cycle within the organization. You will be responsible for designing and implementing automation tools and workflows that enable developers to quickly and easily build, test, and deploy software. Your work will directly impact the productivity and quality of the whole development team, making this role a critical component of Mural’s success.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

3+ years of building and shipping large-scale production software as part of an agile engineering team
You have expertise in the full stack, preferably with Javascript technologies and modern web application frameworks (React, etc.), and you’re willing to learn outside your comfort zone
You have experience planning technical projects and delivering new systems and features iteratively, with a focus on delivering value to customers quickly
You are a code sleuth who enjoys digging into a tricky problem using critical thinking and your problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues, analyze complex problems and recommend creative solutions
You have a high level of emotional intelligence with collaboration and listening skills that encourage innovative solutions and diverse perspectives
You have experience working with modern observability and analytics tools (DataDog, New Relic, etc.)

Nice to Have

You have a computer science degree, are a code school graduate, or have equivalent experience
You have experience working with authorization and provisioning protocols, such as SAML, SCIM, OAuth and OpenID Connect (specifically for the Identity team)
You have experience working on Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and other data security features (BYOK, data encryption)
You have professional experience designing and developing APIs via REST and JSON (Bonus: written in Node.js)
You have experience with noSQL databases, such as MongoDB
You have experience working a rapidly growing organization or start-up environment
