The Identity and Access Management Experiences team contributes to high impact business areas, directly tied to growth and monetization by enabling accounts, users and access management for customers. We are the front door for our customers, an opening for them to a streamlined and polished user journey. Our team’s goal is to connect our customers to the building blocks they need through familiar, repeatable patterns and approachable workflows that guide them to the core value New Relic has to offer. We are passionate about simplifying the signup and login experience! We are consistently working on building a seamless experience to provide effortless management of complex access control. We drive the first impression, the right customer experience, to hook them up to the platform. We enable easy execution of some of the most complex access controls within a few clicks.
We constantly monitor what we build to keep an eye on usability and usage of the experience that we put in front of our customers. We keep our ears to the ground for all feedback on experience. We grow and evolve based on data.
What you'll do
- Develop front-end experiences with a customer first approach, driving the services enhancements when needed
- Always consider the impact on experience first and foremost, from performance, usability and usage perspective
- Work directly with product management, engineers and designers to build engineering plans for feature work
- Participate and occasionally lead team processes such as demos, touchpoints and technical deep dives
- Have a direct impact on our customer experiences, team processes and your peers
- Mentor engineers and share your passion for improving software through constant iteration
This role requires
- 5+ years professional experience of delivering and supporting reliable production software
- Strong React fundamentals with proven experience writing performant and reusable components
- Strong fundamentals with modern Javascript (ES6+),TypeScript, HTML, CSS/SASS
- Collaboration skills that promote creativity and inclusivity
- Bias towards a simple, seamless, streamlined frontend experience without compromises
Bonus points if you have
- Experience in a backend language such as: Ruby, Elixir, Node
- Experience working with databases
- Experience in observability
- Experience in Agile methodologies

Estimated Base Pay Range: $ 135,000 - $ 169,000
Consistent with New Relic's values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. The base pay range above represents a good faith estimate of the low and high end base pay range for the listed position. This role may be eligible for the corporate bonus plan (or, if a sales role, a commission plan as defined in the sales incentive plan document), participation in our stock equity plan, short- and long-term incentives, and other department-specific awards that may be applicable. In addition, New Relic provides a variety of benefits to employees. The range provided may also represent candidate ranges and may not reflect the full range or geographic differential for an individual tenured employee.
