The Summer 2023 Internship Program will start with 2 weeks of part time hours (20 hrs/week) from Monday, May 22 through Friday, June 2. The remainder of the program will be full time hours (40 hrs/week) from Monday, June 5 through Friday, August 4.
CodeStream was a startup acquired by New Relic in 2021, and creates open source extensions for all your favorite IDEs. It allows developers to use many of their favorite developer tools & services right from their IDEs, including New Relic! The team is working hard to increase internal adoption of its IDE plugins as well developing a new set of Observability features. You will have the opportunity to enhance the extensions for IDEs extensions.
What you'll do
- A developer will be responsible for working inside the CodeStream extensions (VSCode, JetBrains, or Visual Studio)
- Be part of the full software development cycle
- Developing CodeStream extensions, work on new features and fix bugs
This role requires
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program with an expected graduation date between December 2023-June 2024
- Experience with JavaScript, ReactJS, or GIT
- Strong curiosity about developer tools
Bonus points if you have
- Experience with TypeScript, Mongo, GitHub, Java/Kotlin, C#

Estimated Base Pay Range: $ 25.96 - $ 35
Consistent with New Relic's values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. The base pay range above represents a good faith estimate of the low and high end base pay range for the listed position. This role may be eligible for the corporate bonus plan (or, if a sales role, a commission plan as defined in the sales incentive plan document), participation in our stock equity plan, short- and long-term incentives, and other department-specific awards that may be applicable. In addition, New Relic provides a variety of benefits to employees. The range provided may also represent candidate ranges and may not reflect the full range or geographic differential for an individual tenured employee.
