OpenAI’s Business Systems team builds internal products and platforms that support Finance and Supply Chain operations. The work combines product discovery, React and TypeScript interfaces, Python services and APIs, data models, workflow orchestration, enterprise integrations, permissions, auditability, and production reliability.

About the role

Product Engineers own internal applications end to end, taking operational problems from the first conversation with a Finance or Supply Chain partner through design, implementation, rollout, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Build internal applications and workflows across frontend, backend, data models, and enterprise integrations.
• Create React/TypeScript interfaces and Python APIs for finance and supply-chain users.
• Design durable workflow orchestration and reusable integration patterns rather than one-off automations.
• Integrate with systems of record and enterprise platforms such as order management, fulfillment, Oracle Fusion, procurement, and related services.
• Build AI- and agent-assisted workflows where appropriate, while maintaining correctness, permissions, auditability, and operational reliability.
• Work directly with users to discover requirements, iterate on product design, ship, monitor, and support production systems.

Qualifications

• Strong product engineering and full-stack development background.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, Python, APIs, relational data models, and production systems.
• Experience with workflow orchestration, enterprise integrations, Temporal, Postgres/MySQL, or similar technologies is valuable.
• Strong ownership, product judgment, and attention to security, reliability, and auditability.

Compensation

$230K – $385K plus equity.
