Job Description:
We are looking for a talented and seasoned Full Stack Developer to join our Sales Compensation Technology department. As the Senior Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for overseeing the compensation reporting system, which involves calculating pay, generating statements, and displaying earnings for our distribution partners. Your primary focus will be on developing the front-end user interface that allows partners to easily view their earnings.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team responsible for the reporting side of calculated earnings and distributing payments to our distribution partners.
Collaborate with a group of engineers to enhance the user interface (UI) that allows partners to view their earnings.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure the UI meets the needs of distribution partners.
Utilize AWS, React, TypeScript, and Node.js to develop and improve the front-end UI.
Engage in paired programming, diagramming, and thorough planning to ensure accurate architectural decisions are made.
Mentor and guide team members, providing insights and fostering their professional growth.
Foster a self-organizing and collaborative team culture within an environment where team members have previously worked together at Principal.
Collaborate with both on-site and remote team members, promoting effective communication and coordination.
This is a 1-year duration role with the possibility of extension based on project needs.
Qualifications:
Several years of experience as a Senior Full Stack Developer, demonstrating proficiency in developing web applications.
Expertise in AWS, React, TypeScript, and Node.js, with a strong understanding of their respective ecosystems.
Proven ability to lead a team and effectively manage projects in an agile development environment.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Experience mentoring and guiding junior developers is highly desirable.
