Raytheon is supporting a U.S. Government customer on a large mission critical development and sustainment program to design, build, deliver, and operate a network operations environment, including introducing new cyber capabilities to address emerging threats. Raytheon is seeking a Software Engineer with JavaScript development experience to support the design, development, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity capabilities.
Responsibilities Include:
Designing, developing, and maintaining innovative user interfaces for cutting-edge software systems.
Collaborating with product stakeholders to understand user requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Developing responsive and performant user interfaces using ReactJS and related libraries.
Implementing and maintaining reusable UI components and libraries.
Ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Writing well-documented, clean, and efficient code to maintain high-quality standards.
Conducting UI testing and debugging to identify and fix software defects.
Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in JavaScript, ReactJS, and front-end development.
Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to team members.
Collaborating with the QA team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
Required Skills:
U.S. Citizenship
Must be able to obtain DHS suitability.
Must have an active TS/SCI clearance.
2+ years of professional experience in front-end development with a strong emphasis on JavaScript and ReactJS.
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end development techniques.
Experience with state management libraries such as Redux or MobX.
Solid understanding of responsive web design principles and mobile-first development.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills to identify and resolve UI-related issues.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact with cross-functional teams.
A strong commitment to code quality, documentation, and testing.
Desired Skills:
Experience with UI testing frameworks like Jest, Enzyme, or Testing Library.
Knowledge of modern front-end build tools and bundlers (Webpack, Babel, etc.).
Understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Experience in optimizing application performance and page load times.
Awareness of security best practices in web development.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
Desired Certifications:
SAFe Agile Certification (Scaled Agile Framework)
AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer - Associate)

The following position is to join our Corporate or Research Center Team:
Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through University Degree combined with experience. Practical knowledge of RTX projects, programs
or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.

#RISDOMINOThe salary range for this role is 62,000 USD - 124,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
