Senior React Developer on site in Riyadh ( 5 months Contract ) - Octopus by RTG

We are looking for an experienced Frontend Developer specializing in React.js to strengthen our engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects, ensure high-quality delivery, and mentor less experienced developers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to building performant and accessible web applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and enhance React.js applications with clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

- ⁠Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and backend, to deliver high-quality features.

- ⁠Ensure applications meet performance benchmarks, accessibility standards, and responsive design requirements.

- ⁠Conduct and participate in code reviews to uphold coding standards and share knowledge.

- ⁠Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to the team members.

- ⁠Contribute to shared libraries, design systems, and internal frontend tooling.

- ⁠Stay updated with the latest technologies and propose improvements to workflows, architecture, and tooling.

• 4–5 years of professional frontend development experience, with at least 3+ years working extensively with React.js.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and solid understanding of React hooks, component design, and state management.
• Experience with Redux Toolkit, React Query, or similar state management/data fetching tools.
• Familiarity with REST/GraphQL APIs, testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress/Playwright), and modern build tools (Webpack, Vite, Nx).
• Strong knowledge of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and web security principles.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience with PWAs, Firebase/Firestore, Liferay, SSR/Next.js, or i18n.
