About the role:

We are seeking for a Full Stack Engineer that is responsible for maintaining and supporting existing web and enterprise systems while driving gradual modernization, ensuring system stability, security, and performance through effective incident management, system enhancements, and close collaboration with operations and stakeholders.

Working Hours: Mon-Fri, Office hours
Working Location: Central
Salary package: UP to $9,500 (basic) + AWS
Job Type: Contract

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of system maintenance, including change requests, bug fixes, performance optimisation, and system stability improvements.
  • Maintain and enhance existing web applications, including carrying out thorough impact assessment for any change requests.
  • Support production systems, including incident response and root cause analysis.
  • Work with operations teams to ensure system monitoring, backup procedures, and disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Ensure system security through implementing fixes from security vulnerabilities identified during source code review, open source analysis, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing and other security tests.
  • Document existing systems and create knowledge transfer materials for legacy codebases.
  • Analyze existing system dependencies and requirements to plan and implement modernization roadmaps.

Requirements:

  • Degree in IT/Engineering or equivalent with 3–5 years of experience in enterprise system development, maintenance, and support
  • Proficient in Java (including legacy versions), React.js, Spring Boot, WebLogic, and Oracle/Sybase databases
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with good understanding of production impact, change management, and version control (Git/SVN)
  • Experience with web technologies (JSP, jQuery, Struts/JSF), authentication (LDAP/AD), batch processing, and basic Linux/Unix
  • Exposure to system integration, APIs, microservices, containerization, cloud, and modern frameworks (e.g. React)
  • Good understanding of security best practices, code review, and vulnerability management

Bonus (Added Advantage):

  • Experience in government or highly regulated environments
  • Involvement in system modernization or redevelopment projects
  • Exposure to event-driven solutions (e.g. Solace)
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (Azure Boards, Pipelines)
