SonicWall is looking for a Software Developer Intern to be a member of our Cloud Applications team. The ideal candidate must be able to thrive in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment.
Job Duties
- Improve the overall experience of using Capture Client Management Console, by fixing, optimizing, and extending front-end functionality
- Work closely with a team of experienced software engineers
- Collaborate with front-end and backend engineers
- Port source code from React.js to Vue.js
- Migrate source code from Vue 2 to Vue 3
- Identify areas for improvement in the codebase
Qualifications and Skills
- Working toward a bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science or relevant
- Ability to work full-time during the summer (12 weeks)
- Ability to work remotely and manage your own time
- Ability to work independently or as part of the team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective, clear, and precise communication skills - written, verbal and presentations
- Ability to act and communicate appropriately in a professional environment
- Experience building user interfaces for the web
- A solid understanding of web architecture and browser technologies, including core JavaScript concepts (e.g., asynchronous code execution), HTML, and CSS, HTML
- Experience with REST APIs and modern front-end frameworks (js, Svelte, React, Angular ...)
- Experience writing code that scales well (both in terms of performance and design)
