We are looking for a database developer to join our team. The Ideal candidate would be adaptable to work across tech stack and pick new skills quickly and is comfortable in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be extremely confident and comfortable with taking ownership of the database queries and database component of our product and be able to deliver high quality additions to the codebase.

Develops effective and maintainable database code in a timely fashion
Employs versatile and optimized code and libraries
Solves database issues such as inefficient queries and data inconsistencies
Gathers business requirements and translate them into code
Documents new and existing database data, activities, and functionalities
Maintains proficiency and develops expertise in the application and use of systems, tools, and processes within the department's scope
Effectively communicates the feasibility of requested deliverables and timelines to the Manager and/or Sr. Manager.
Maintains a working knowledge of Asurion's applications and system integration and can understand changes in order to anticipate cross-system or cross-process impacts.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field
At least 2 to 3 years of SQL programming (Postgres/Oracle/MySQL/SQL Server)
At least 1 year of hands-on experience with NodeJS and ReactJS or similar programming languages, frameworks, and libraries
Proficient in SQL with the ability to write complex SQL queries
Fundamental knowledge of stored procedures and database functions
Strong knowledge of database design and data structures
Able to understand and identify the relationship between data entities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and address database issues
Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment and under high-pressure
Experience working in a geographically distributed team
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Must be amenable to work on a mid-shift
