The Lead Frontend Engineer is responsible for designing, scaling, and ensuring the technical excellence of modern user-facing applications within a growing AdTech platform. This role partners with product managers, UX/UI designers, marketing, and engineering teams to build high-performance web applications focused on digital advertising capabilities. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in frontend technologies, modern web architectures, and user experience optimization, with a deep understanding of data-intensive dashboards, component design, and API integrations. This position plays a key role in delivering intuitive, responsive, and enterprise-grade solutions across advertising, media, and publishing workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end frontend development, architecture, and execution for AdTech platforms, campaigns, and analytical applications
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, reusable components and robust frontend architectures using React and JavaScript
  • Validate and deliver intuitive user interfaces for core AdTech capabilities, including campaign management dashboards, audience targeting and personalization tools, and reporting applications
  • Optimize application performance, responsiveness, accessibility (a11y), and usability across devices and environments
  • Perform API integrations, functional, regression, and end-to-end testing support across frontend systems and external services
  • Verify user workflows, data visualization, real-time analytics, and platform reliability while managing defects through resolution and root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with business, product, design, and engineering teams to support high-quality deliverables, ensure seamless user experiences, and drive successful cross-functional execution

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, including strong, demonstrable expertise focused on modern frontend development and web applications
  • Hands-on experience with modern JavaScript (ES6+) and React (Hooks, advanced state management, and component architecture)
  • Strong knowledge of web fundamentals and styling, including HTML5, CSS3, and modern styling methodologies
  • Proven experience building complex, data-intensive web applications, data grids, or analytical dashboards
  • Solid understanding of frontend tooling, development workflows, and deployment processes, including Webpack, Vite, npm/yarn, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with API testing and integration between frontend applications and RESTful services
  • Knowledge of frontend performance optimization, debugging, error tracking, and monitoring techniques
  • Exposure to cloud-hosted applications and distributed systems from a frontend perspective

Nice to have

  • Experience working in AdTech, Digital Advertising, or Media & Publishing domains, alongside hands-on integration experience with advertising technology platforms such as Google Ad Manager or Koddi
  • Experience building high-scale enterprise web applications with React, supported by knowledge of frontend observability tools and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

This posting includes a good faith range of the salary EPAM would reasonably expect to pay the selected candidate. The range provided reflects base salary only. Individual compensation offers within the range are based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to: geographic location, experience, credentials, education, training; the demand for the role; and overall business and labor market considerations. Most candidates are hired at a salary within the range disclosed. Salary range: $115,000 - $165,000.
