Senior Frontend Developer (React & Next.js) Pune, Office Based

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer with deep expertise in React and Next.js to join our Pune-based team and collaborate with our UK counterparts in modernizing and developing next generation healthcare products. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building scalable, high performance web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks. While the primary focus is on frontend development, familiarity with .NET Core and Web API integration is a plus. You will play a key role in re-architecting legacy systems into modern web applications, mentoring a small team, and contributing to technical decision-making. Strong communication skills and a passion for clean, maintainable code are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of modern React applications, preferably using Next.js.
• Mentor a small team (35 developers) in Pune while collaborating closely with a UK-based development team.
• Participate in planning, architecture discussions, and code reviews.
• Ensure seamless integration with backend services, including .NET Core Web APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, timely solutions.

To be Successful, you will need to bring:

• Experience: Minimum 6 years of professional experience, with strong expertise in React (including building applications from scratch). Experience with Next.js is highly preferred.
• Mentoring: At least 23 years of experience mentoring a team of 35 developers.
• Frameworks & Tools: Proficiency in React, Next.js, and frontend tooling. Familiarity with .NET Core and Web API integration is a plus.
• Database Skills: Basic understanding of SQL and experience working with APIs that interact with databases.
• Experience working in a matrix organizational structure and collaborating across geographies.

Additional Desirable Qualities:

• Experience with automated testing and secure software development practices.
• Familiarity with HL7 and/or healthcare software development is a plus.
• Understanding of privacy regulations such as GDPR.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and AWS.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in team support activities such as task tracking, performance feedback, and knowledge sharing.
