OpenAI’s Revenue Platform team builds the customer-facing and platform infrastructure behind invoicing, billing, payments, revenue recognition, subscriptions, pricing, and related commercial workflows. The systems must combine financial correctness with enterprise-grade reliability and usable product experiences.

About the role

This full-stack engineer owns critical revenue workflows and the reusable platform abstractions behind them, working across user interfaces, APIs, shared services, data models, and event-driven systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate end-to-end revenue workflows and user-facing financial interfaces.
• Design APIs, shared services, data models, and platform abstractions used by multiple product teams.
• Improve billing, payments, subscriptions, usage-based pricing, and revenue-related internal tools.
• Build systems that prioritize correctness, consistency, auditability, reliability, and graceful scaling.
• Partner with finance, product, engineering, and operations stakeholders to turn complex commercial requirements into maintainable systems.
• Use automation and AI capabilities where they can improve operational workflows without compromising financial precision.

Qualifications

• Strong full-stack product and platform engineering experience.
• Experience with React and TypeScript plus backend technologies such as Python, Node.js, or Go.
• Experience designing APIs, data models, distributed or event-driven systems, and production services.
• Strong attention to correctness, reliability, usability, and operational quality.

Compensation

$230K – $385K plus equity.
