Palantir’s Frontend Infrastructure group supports the complete frontend-development stack, from IDE workflows and build systems to browser-delivered user experiences. The group maintains infrastructure for a very large frontend monorepo used by hundreds of engineers.

About the role

The Frontend Developer Productivity engineer identifies and builds high-leverage infrastructure that improves engineering velocity, quality, and the reliability of frontend development across Palantir products.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve build and CI systems for a large frontend monorepo.
• Build core frontend-development infrastructure including feature-flag systems, internationalization, commit previews, and shared developer tooling.
• Improve local development, testing, build performance, reliability, and developer workflows.
• Partner directly with product engineers to identify recurring friction and turn solutions into scalable platform capabilities.
• Own infrastructure projects from architecture and implementation through rollout, measurement, and long-term maintenance.

Qualifications

• Strong software-engineering fundamentals and interest in developer productivity.
• Experience with TypeScript, React, GraphQL, SCSS/CSS, Webpack or related frontend build systems.
• Experience with CI/build tooling such as Gradle and CircleCI is relevant.
• Ability to reason about performance, reliability, developer experience, and large-scale codebases.

Compensation

US base salary: $135,000 – $200,000.
