Zoom is hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer in Seattle to build real-time chat and meeting experiences across web and hybrid application surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain chat and meeting modules with React or Vue and integrate the Zoom SDK for messaging, participant management, and multimedia collaboration.
• Build and optimize hybrid WebView applications, JavaScript-to-native communication bridges, and local asset-caching strategies.
• Process streaming data through WebSocket and Zoom real-time APIs and deliver responsive reactive interfaces under concurrent load.
• Design accessible web interfaces that meet WCAG requirements, including screen-reader, keyboard-navigation, and ARIA support.
• Build CI/CD automation using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI, integrating linting, unit tests, and accessibility checks.
• Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and mobile engineers and coordinate delivery across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent foreign degree.
• 8 years of enterprise frontend development experience.
• 8 years working primarily with JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Production experience with both React and Vue single-page applications.
• Deep accessibility, frontend security, CI/CD, and cross-border engineering collaboration experience.
