At Zympler, we’re on a mission to accelerate electrification at our business customers' locations, despite current limitations in electricity grid connections. We do so by providing insights into our customers' power peaks and mitigating them through smart steering of flexible assets such as batteries, charging stations, heat pumps, and more. Combining our cloud-hosted energy management system (EMS) and local gateway controller enables us to do this at scale.

About the role

We are looking for an exceptional frontend engineer with an affinity for user experience and good design. Your focus will be on making our portal the best in the market. It serves as a single pane of glass, showing our customers everything they need to know about their energy system's performance. You’ll be working closely with cloud, local control, and data engineers to build the best platform for energy management.

You need to have an intrinsic curiosity and a strong sense of adventure, as we are entering uncharted territory. Smartening our electricity grids will accelerate the energy transition and make it more economical than many realize.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement a system of ‘Lego blocks’ to provide a consistent and friendly user experience throughout the platform.

• Make the fastest and most maintainable frontend code.

• Sprinkle the frontend with delightful extras that set it apart from the competition.

• Work with customers and partners to understand their needs and gather feedback on the user experience.

• Design an information architecture to guide portal users through the wealth of data our platform provides and meet their needs.

• Be responsible for running your code in production.

• Striking a balance between constant improvement and speed of development.

• Share knowledge with your colleagues.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of frontend coding experience in a relevant work environment.

• Our portal is built with React Router; experience with React is required. Experience with Remix or React Router is desirable.

• Be pragmatic at one moment and stick to your principles at other moments.

• Engage in healthy discussions about functionality and quality, and don't hesitate to give and receive constructive feedback.

• Come to the office at least four times a week.

• Be a pleasant team member and actively seek collaboration.

• Wholeheartedly support the energy transition to a sustainable energy economy.

• Webflow experience is desirable but not required for this position.

• Energy market or sector experience is desirable but not required for this position.

Compensation plan

Competitive salary package including a solid share-based component to benefit from the potential upside. Besides, we offer travel compensation for commuting and customer visits.
